I am very excited an honored to have been asked to design the poster for the Hawaii Burlesque Festival & Revue this year! This will be the 4th year that I have created the poster! So happy to have been invited to do so again. I am a big fan of the art form of burlesque and Hawaii is one of my most favorite places in the world. So it's fun to get inspired by two things I really love! The festival was created and presented by the very talented and beautiful, Violetta Beretta ! Violetta is known as "Hawaii’s Burlesque Sweetheart," and she is one of my favorite performers of all time! I just love her enchanting burlesque style. She is very imaginative with the costumes and themes she creates for her shows. One I especially love, is her act as a living vintage inspired Hula Girl lamp! The Annual Hawaii Burlesque Festival & Revue, Will be September 19th-24th, 2016 at the Doris Duke Theater! You may have gotten an email from my former business partner with the subject “Closing Shop Down or Closing Down Sale”. This is not correct. I am not closing down Fluff. I am Fluff, lol! He is trying to sell off his remaining inventory and then go on his way. Fluffshop.com will redirect to my new website here, MissFluff.com (It’s still in progress!) Here is What is Going On: My business partner that manufactured the Fluff products wanted to go in a different direction, so we decided to part ways. But I am still here and not going anywhere! I have had my company/ line, Fluff for almost 15 years! (started it in 2002). And I am going to continue it! Fluffshop Website and Emails from Fluffshop You may have noticed over the last few months that my Fluff website and newsletters look and feel different. There is even an announcement on the site that says, "To all our loyal fans, we are grateful for your support over the years!" That sounds like a goodbye to me! Well , I did not write or approve that. That is because my partner and his team took things over. So any emails you received from [email protected] were not coming from me. I have only been sending email from [email protected] And from now on Fluffshop.com will forward to MissFluff.com, my new site. What's going to happen to Fluff? I will continue designing as Miss Fluff. But I am not sure if I will brand anything Fluff anymore. Moving forward, I am thinking to brand everything as Miss Fluff so people will know there is a real person behind it and not a company team or committee. All these years I designed all of it and many people thought it was a team of designers. Also, I won’t be part of a company. No more partners! I will instead be an independent artist and do collaborations and license my art to companies and designers that make things. I am so happy to be on my own now! Art is what I love to do, so I am very happy I can now pursue this full time. Not many people know this, but I was the web mistress, order manager, and customer service and marketing person , etc... for years! If you ever got a message from Betty Flynn, that was my alias! There was very little time to spend on creating art. But those little moments I spent drawing is when I was at my happiest! I can now concentrate on making my art as magical as it can be! It has been almost 15 years since I started my line, Fluff in 2002. I really cannot believe it has been that long! Thank you so much for coming along on this fluffy adventure with me! All the love, support, excitement and joy you have shared with me over the years means the world to me and always has kept me inspired to keep going doing what I love!
