Hawaii Burlesque Festival - Designing the Poster!

I am very excited an honored to have been asked to design the poster for the
Hawaii Burlesque Festival & Revue this year! This will be the 4th year that I have created the poster! So happy to have been invited to do so again. I am a big fan of the art form of burlesque and Hawaii is one of my most favorite places in the world. So it's fun to get inspired by two things I really love!

The festival was created and presented by the very talented and beautiful,
Violetta Beretta ! Violetta is known as "Hawaii’s Burlesque Sweetheart," and she is one of my favorite performers of all time!  I just love her enchanting burlesque style. She is very imaginative with the costumes and themes she creates for her shows. One I especially love, is her act as a living vintage inspired Hula Girl lamp! Please check out her site here:

Inspiration for the 2016 poster is Trixie Little!

This year the featured performer will be the current "Queen of Burlesque"
Trixie Little ! I was asked to immortalize her winning act in the design! In her act Trixie is wearing a dazzling banana costume! Which as you can imagine, she peels off with much charm !

More Info About the Festival!
The Annual Hawaii Burlesque Festival & Revue, Will be September 19th-24th, 2016 at the Doris Duke Theater!

The shows are on September 22, 23, & 24th (the other dates are for classes/screenings etc)
